Breaking Barriers & Changing Boundaries: Redefining a Woman’s Role in the Arab World

October 22, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 1:30 pm

“As women, we have too many responsibilities: We are daughters, We are mothers, We are wives, We are engineers, We are lawyers, We are doctors, We are entrepreneurs, We are caregivers to family members old and young which contributes to us having the lowest rate of labor force participation in the Arab peninsula. And yet, We are and can be so much more”.

The status of a woman has long been discussed with reforms touching every aspect to get the woman where she needs to be. One of the most interesting areas reigned by contradiction is the Arab World, where women’s literacy and education achievement are high yet the expectation of its usage for a sustainable financial income remains low and inconsiderate.

A personal experience will touch down on different aspects of the Arab Female Entrepreneurship and pinpoint Lebanon with its envisioned meltdown and how women are at the forefront of the path to a prosperous Lebanon
